Porinju Mariyam Jose Review - First Day Reports

Porinju Mariyam Jose is a 2019 Malayalam Romantic, Revenge Thriller movie directed by Joshiy. As the movie is directed by Joshiy, the expectations for the movie was high, and this was also the next movie for Joju George after the Blockbuster movie Joseph. The story is happening in 1980’s period and the movie is all about the life of three friends – Porinju, Mariyam and Jose which is performed by Joju, Nyla Usha and Chemban Vinod respectively, the Romance, Friendship and Revenge happening in their life. 

The film started well, then it moved slow and ended with a punchy interval. The 2nd Half till the climax was all okay and ended with an unwanted or a forced climax.

This movie is all about the performance of the casts(except Mariyam) and making. Lack of new scenes, cliche story and misplaced scenes affected the film. Lack of punch for the character like Kattalan Porinju highlight the mediocre writing. The songs were good, but the placements of them made the audience felt that it was unwanted.

One time watchable one, just for the performance of the casts and some mass moments. Director Joshiy needs to change his format, it feels like repetitive.
