NAYATTU Review

Nayattu is a 2021 Survival, Thriller, directed by Martin Prakkat, written by Shahi Kabir, starring Kunchacko Boban, Joju George, and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles.

Nayattu movie is about the three police officers played by Kunchacko Boban, Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan, where they hide from the authorities to get arrested. When they accidentally involved in an incident, the officials are hunting them to capture for avoiding a political imbalance in the state during an election. Nayattu is raw and original. Unlike the movies we see where there are written norms for how your hero and villain should be, Nayattu is just the opposite of those norms. Here it is more of the real story of 3 policemen CPO Praveen, CPO Sunitha and ASI Maniyan.

Martin Prakkat is continuously bringing different genre of movies. Nayattu has that intensity where the viewer can feel that tension. Especially the climax, it was so unpredictable and very closed to reality. Shahi Kabir has a strong story after his fabulous Joseph. The story is the main highlight. Hats off, and thank you for making it so original. The movie’s screenplay was so engaging. It well connects the plots that gave us the best viewing experience. Vishnu Vijay‘s music and Akhil Alex‘s background score was good. A huge applauds to Shyju Khalid for making each and every scene beautiful. The hill areas of Kerala have presented beautifully. Mahesh Narayanan and Rajesh Rajendran edited the movie perfectly.

The talented actors are inevitable to convey this marvellous script. Kunchacko Boban, Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan were very apt and excellent. You can witness Kunchacko Boban‘s one of the best raw performance in Nayattu. Joju George was great as the senior police officer Maniyan. It is a delight to watch his performances. His performance in Nayattu will be another feather in his cap. Nimisha Sajayan always surprises us with her movie choices and originality in performances. She handled the role of a lady constable with absolute perfection. Dineesh as Biju was stunning. He will be an asset to the industry. Rest all the casts like Jaffar Idukki, Yama Gilgamesh, and others did their part very well.

On the downside, it felt a little rush towards the climax. Other than that, Nayattu is a not to miss feast for movie lovers from a team of the highly talented crew.
