HALAL LOVE STORY Review

Halal Love Story is a 2020 comedy, drama by Zakariya Mohamed, starring Indrajith, Sharaf U Dheen, Joju George and others.

Halal Love Story is a movie which portrays the aspiring moviemakers from the communities of the Northern part of Kerala. The makers well portrayed the daily life of the Muslim community in the region, how much they encourage art and talented individuals. In the movie, some of the members as Shereef (Indrajith), Thoufeeq (Sharaf U Dheen), Rahim (Nazar) approach Siraj (Joju), who is working as an assistant director in Malayalam cinema to make a feature film. Rest of the movie taken in an entertaining way showing their movie making and how they make it within their limitation. Halal Love Story is a not much-seen narration, with filled with fun and some beautiful scenes. The movie felt more realistic in narration. Indrajith as Shareef and Grace Antony as Suhara did their part well. Sharaf U Dheen, Nazer and Joju’s role sprinkled the movie with the required spices. All the other casts and cameos like Soubin, Parvathy made this movie more colourful.

Like the performances of the star casts, the technical part of the movie deserves an appreciation. The cinematography, tracks and background scores was a big plus for this movie. Even though the film is well directed, the writing could have been better. Some scenes felt forced to include in the movie, and few scenes could have removed. 

Overall, Halal Love Story was a different experience. A feel-good movie, which will make you entertained throughout. Enjoy the movie by streaming now on Amazon Prime Video.
