The Tomorrow War is a 2021 Science Fiction film by Chris McKay. The movie is written by Zach Dean, starring Chris Pratt as the main lead. The Tomorrow War recently got released in Amazon Prime Video, which received a good viewership and reception.
The Tomorrow War is a science fiction film that portrays the future threats faced by the Earth. A group of militaries from the future travel back the time to 2022. They appear in the middle of a Football World Cup match in Qatar and invite the world to fight a war against the aliens who almost killed three-fourth of the humans in the future. It is the situation that vanishes the entire humanity from the world after 30 years. The nations and the world leaders together send the people to the future for fighting against their threat. Like everyone, the time for Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) arrived. He did all the preparation to go to the future with a group to fight against their future enemy. Dan is an Ex. Army personnel who was working as a Biology professor. He lives with his wife and kid. He tried to escape from going, but the pressure from the authorities, and considering his daughter’s future, he couldn’t stay back. The rest of the movie deals with the surprises Dan will see in the future and whether they will win this war against the aliens.
Chris Pratt as Dan Forester did fabulous work in the film. This movie is probably one of the best in terms of performance. Yvonne Strahovski as Colonel Muri Forester looked powerful. The other casts like Betty Gilpin, J.K. Simmons, Sam and others also did their part perfectly. The major highlight of The Tomorrow War is the movie’s engaging story and the making. Kudos to the writer Zach Dean and the director Chris McKay for the extraordinary filmmaking. From the cinematography to the editing, VFX and SFX, the technical part of the movie was top-notch. Even though the film was engaging throughout, on the downside, the movie had a few unwanted scenes. Some scenes felt rushed, thus felt incomplete. It would have been even better if the screenplay was a bit slow and show scenes in more depth.
On the whole, The Tomorrow War is a not to miss movie for a science fiction movie lover. Another least explored fictional time travel concept. A theatrical watch would have given an even better viewing experience.
