Joker is a Hollywood Psychological Thriller directed by Todd Phillips, starring Joaquin Phoenix as Joker. The movie is based on DC Comics characters. In the past we saw many Joker version in Batman movies. This version of Joker by Todd Phillips is entirely different from the past versions. Here the Joker is more towards the reality. Also more than the Joker character, the movie is more focused on to the character Arthur Fleck. Arthur Fleck is a mid aged man who lives with his mother. His ambition is to become a famous stand-up comedian. But due to a phobia, he couldn’t stop his laughing when he become more anxiety and tensed. He also suffer from a kind of Mental illness. By the insult, lies and abuse by the people around him, he turns to a deadly dangerous psycho villain Joker.
In this Joker, the movie is made in Joker’s perception. So here the Joker is more portrayed as a hero than villain. This is an origin story, talks about the transformation of a common man into a villain Joker. The people who go to see the madness and villainous Joker, you will be little disappointed. As I said earlier, this is more of a slow paced origin story. The best part is, There’s no super hero to stand against Joker in this movie, so the Joker is not a super villain here. Hope we get to see an another Batman – Joker movie from this team soon.
About the crew members and the technical part of the movie, the cinematography of the movie is extraordinary. The grayish shade suits the movie’s background, this made the entire mood of the movie apt for a psychological thriller. The shots during the riot scenes were amazing Also the Background score, this was synced with the movie. Those scores changed the whole experience into a little tensed and fearful. Special appreciation to the cinematographer Lawrence Sher and the Music Director Hildur Guðnadóttir. The editing part was also perfect.
And about the man behind Joker – Joaquin Phoenix. Can’t describe his performance using any words. He performed that role neatly, without any flaws. That laugh is still there in the mind. It is evident that, he did lot of hard work and preparation to make the character Joker with much perfection. His acting is mainly stunning as the mentally ill Arthur Fleck, it was just amazing. The last 30 minutes was unbelievable. He truly deserves an Oscar for his performance in Joker. From now onwards, he will remain as the best Joker. The Joker version by Heath Ledger still stands top, because in that version, the Joker was purely villain and psychopathic, here the character importance is more for Arthur Fleck and as Arthur Fleck, Joaquin scored more here.
Don’t miss the performance of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, or more as Arthur Fleck. Especially if you love the character deadly Joker.

Review and Rating
FIRST DAY REPORTS RATING
4.5/5
Review : A tensed, depressed origin story. It will makes you confused, whether he is a hero or a villain. But in the end, you will be in love with this deadly mad Joker once you leave the cinemas. Stunning, Oscar deserved performance by Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur/ Joker. Stunned with the best transformation of Joaquin from Arthur Fleck to Joker.
“That depressing laugh, can you easily forget that?”
